Well it’s that time of year again…that wonderful occasion where we all
gather together reminisce and share our experiences and stories. The
season
where we can have a little time for ourselves, without the constant
barrage of emails & phone calls to keep us running. It’s an opportunity to
meet up with our friends that we only see once a year and welcome new
faces to add to the “family”That’s right folks…it’s “CONFERENCE SEASON!”
Okay, so I’m a little excited! I always get this way at this time of year. I love the opportunity this provides us. It’s a chance to focus on networking and learning in a casual and fun format. When else can you go to take a moment away from the chaos called “work” on the company dime and actually enjoy learning new things?
We have a jam packed week for you as we are celebrating our 30th year as an Association! For those of you who have not had an opportunity to see the conference brochure we’ve changed things up a bit this year. The first change you will notice is that we have moved the conference up a week. We have extended our round table discussions by a session length so you can have the whole morning to participate (or listen) to the 6 various table discussions. If round tables aren’t your thing, we have added a full day of Basic Emergency Management course. We’ve also changed the Trade Show hours to which includes a meal in between. We are still giving away plenty of prizes and we are bringing our favorite MC back on Thursday for the Banquet.
For those of you, who have already seen the brochure, please note that the conference runs from May 10th-14th and not the 16th! (my bad-small typo) We have had a change in sessions by replacing Health Relationships with the Office of Traffic Safety. Also we have changed our Wednesday night entertainment from a comedian to BOWLING.
For further details on what to expect this year, click on the link for the Conference and Trade Show. I look forward to seeing you soon!
